Saint Bridget – patron saint of Europe

Posted on

Together with the playwright Margareta Skantze we performed at the Amiralitetskyrkan (Navy church of Karlskrona). The theme was Saint Bridget‘s life. As a trio from FPA we (Astrid, Lisa and Ingrid) performed 5 pieces connected to the saint; some from the play Kung Byxlös that Teater Kontur set up in 2011, composed by Astrid and Lisa.

Quite a crowd had gathered at the church and stayed after the concert for a cup of coffee and a chat about the remarkable mother of 8 children who travelled around Europe in the 14th century to create justice for the poor. However, the last days of really cold weather forced everyone to wear their jackets, but we sang in hope to give them some warmth 😉
